Hexagon Classics are delighted to offer this low mileage, highly specified Bentley Brooklands Coupé. It was the ultimate Bentley: a stylish, four-seat, grand touring coupé with classic British proportions and muscular performance.
Bentley’s chairman at the time of launch, Dr Franz-Josef Paefgen, described the motivation behind the Brooklands Coupé: “Bentley’s proud sporting pedigree, forged by the exploits of the immortal ‘Bentley Boys’ on the famous Brooklands racetrack in the 1920s, was the inspiration for our new coupé, capturing all the style, power and splendour of that era.”
The Brooklands Coupé was from a family of Grand Tourers that only Bentley could produce. Incredible handmade craftsmanship and married to the current most powerful engine in the range which produced 530bhp by way of Bentley’s famed 6. 75 litre turbocharged V8. Maximum torque is an astonishing 1050Nm.
While the Brooklands was influenced by Bentley’s fine coupé lineage, its design and engineering are thoroughly contemporary. The proportions of long bonnet, short front overhang and long rear overhang achieve the design objective perfectly, while the low roofline, steeply raked screens and pillarless side glass convey both power and movement. This wasn’t just a fixed head Azure or a Continental R, this was the ultimate GT with interior dimensions completely altered to accommodate 4 people in stunning luxury. This is one of only 105 right hand drive cars were produced.
