Where black, silver and white Porsches can be found just about everywhere, this beautiful 2014 Cayman 981 in Cognac Metallic offers a classy and very individual appearance that doesn’t rock the boat too much. A homage to Porsche’s iconic 1980s Nougat Metallic finish, Cognac Metallic (M8Z) is an extremely rare paint code and we believe this is the only Cayman in the colour currently available in the UK.
With it's rear wheel drive, mid-engined 2. 7 flat-six, paired with the excellent 7-speed PDK gearbox, this 1 owner example drives incredibly well and lives up to the model’s reputation as being one of the greatest handling cars of all time. Having just been imported from Japan, this high-grade car is in extremely good order and has benefitted from coming from a warmer and drier region in Japan, as a suppose to the more weathered UK cars. It’s underside presents like a car with half of this mileage and the paintwork and bodywork will be mistaken for a brand new car. Interior is also in very good order, with little to no wear on the alcantara seats and steering wheel. We have been over the car and we are struggling to fault it both mechanically and cosmetically.
From the inspecting the original handbooks it is clear that the car was serviced and maintained regularly in Japan with 14 documented maintenance records starting at 3, 000kms every 6 months or so through to 121, 000kms in 2020. Since arriving in the UK, the car has been professionally calibrated to now read in miles, with the mileage digital odometer now correctly showing just shy of 83, 000 miles. The car is currently waiting for DVLA registration which we expecting in the next couple of weeks. The car will be supplied with current V5C, official export/ import documents, Japanese auction grade sheet (4B), full service history, two keys, full MOT and a fresh oil and filter service.
