EXTERIOR
Audi have forged a unique reputation in creating performance estate variants and with the B7 they remain true to form with deep sills, wide arches and huge road presence. Presented in a simple finish of Light Silver Metallic this RS4 looks superb, with the subtle colour lending itself perfectly to the discreet family estate car guise synonymous with this era of RS4. Matte aluminium cabin surrounds, roof rails and mirrors compliment the metallic silver paintwork perfectly; with a clean and bright finish they remain smooth to touch, free from any signs of fading.
Showing just 30k miles on the clock it’s no wonder this example presents in exemplary condition; with a deep shine thanks to the light metallic flake the RS4 presents with no visible blemishes or imperfections.
INTERIOR
Offsetting the discrete exterior styling of this RS4 a beautiful set of black leather Recaro Wingback seats which give the interior an entirely more purposeful edge. Condition of the seats is superb, free from the usual signs of wear in higher mileage examples the leather feels distinctly premium, as does the carbon fibre trim along the doors, centre console and dashboard which creates a space that feels more supercar than family estate.
Being an Audi practicality and equipment are also present in abundance, with heated front, dual zone climate control and the optional storage pack with includes extra under seat trays and rear cupholders for ultimate family convenience. Entertainment is taken car of via a premium BOSE sound system and optional navigation system with CD player, bluetooth and i-pod connectivity.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Audi have been the go to for performance estates for some time now, and its the B7 that solidified their reputation in the field and remains a firm favourite in the lineage of past and present. Revving to over 8, 000rpm the 4. 2L V8 produces an addictive soundtrack with the performance to match; limited to 155mph it manages 0-60 in just 4. 8 seconds thanks to its 420bhp output. Combined with a 6 speed Getrag manual gearbox and Audi’s Torsen based Quattro system its a fantastically capable, engaging driving experience.
Benefitting from a full service history, low mileage and a recent carbon clean the mechanical condition of this RS4 is in no question, having clearly been maintained to the highest of standards.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Silver double spoke 19? alloy wheels complement the RS4s aluminium trim and sit in excellent condition, free from and signs of curbing or fading, and are shod in matching Continental Contisport Contacts all around.
The Audi Brembo gloss black 8 pot brakes provide huge stopping power and maintain excellent feel and performance on test, with the discs showing no evidence of lipping or corrosion
Giving the B7 RS4 its trademark sharp, precise handling the Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) suspension does have a reputation for going wrong, however this example had new shocks fitted less than 10k miles ago meaning the whole system is in perfect working order, free from any misting or leaks.
HISTORY FILE
Delivered new on 29/ 12/ 2006 by Harrogate Audi, this stunning RS4 cost the first owner £52, 000 as shown by the original new vehicle invoice in the cars comprehensive history file.
Remaining under the care of its first owner for over 10 years this RS4 has had just 3 keepers in total, who have all maintained the car regardless of costs as outlined by the original service book which shows 7 stamps from Audi main dealers and 1 further stamp with specialists MRC who carried out a full carbon clean and service on the car in 2018 at 25, 343 miles. Most recently the car visited Worthing Audi for a major service on 22/ 02/ 2020 at 30, 106 miles.
As well as the stamped service book a folder of accompanying invoices is also present, as well a comprehensive online log of MOTs which verifies the cars low mileage.
