Beschreibung
from a deceased estate a 1938 350 Sunbeam Model 8; Series 2
Was brought to Germany ca mid nineties, then the forks were disassembled as they were worn. Work didn´t progress apart from removing bushes.
I now put them back together, but they still need overhauling, and the bike is not safe to ride now.
The engine runs nice, and looks like it hasn´t run since an overhaul, as the piston is like new when inspected through the spark plug hole, same as the inlet valve after removing the Amal TT race carb.
previously there was no kickstart lever and the bike was bump-started. A procedure I didn´t fancy with the state of the forks, so I bought another Burman CP box and fitted its kickstart mechanism.
With the rearset footpeg arrangement it would benefit of a folding lever.
There are no documents for the bike.
It is located near Hamburg in northern Germany.
Greetings to the scammers out there, but I don´t accept cheques and the bike can only be taken once funds have cleared, preferably in cash on collection.
Under certain circumstances I may be able to deliver the bike.
Thanx
