This model was the highest model that Toyota uk offered during its time before the introduction of Lexus.
The unfortunate time has come to place on sale our family’s pride and joy. The car has been owned by us for 30+ years and currently is on the second owner. Reason for sale is the introduction of London’s new ultra low emission zone which means we can no longer own/ drive the vehicle in the area we reside.
The car is a original silver coloured with and amazing blue interior. The car has covered 129, 000 miles and is usually only driven on the weekends. The car has never broken down or gone wrong in any way and still has most of its original engine components. The car starts the first time and every time regardless of the weather and has been truly unbelievable in its reliability in true Toyota fashion.
Car was fully loaded for its time and comes with features that even new cars lack. The car is completely original and nothing has been modified. Features include all electric windows. A/ C unit with drinks cooling box in the back. Rear seat media controls including cigarette lighter. Normal standard features include power steering and automatic gearbox with overdrive function. The car still has its original factory rear alloy and tire in the boot which goes to show how well the cars been looked after
The vehicle is unbelievable for its age and drives and runs like clockwork. Gearbox is perfect and shifts all gears smoothly. There is nothing mechanically wrong with the vehicle. The vehicle does not have any service history log however oil changes have been done every 5000miles and regular maintenance work has been completed. These old cars are very easy to work on so all the maintenance has been completed by ourselves.
The car is not without its faults and I will list them below
- the vehicle is showing some surface rust in common areas. This would ideally need attention. This is very common in old Japanese vehicles and the vehicle always been parked on the road exposed to the elements
- the front electric windows don’t go completely down. Motor work fine and most likely a railing issue. Should not be to hard to fix.
- radio works however tape player is no longer working
- somebody has recently hit the front right wing causing a very small dent. I haven’t got around to fixing it but it is visible.
Apart from the above issues there is nothing else wrong with the vehicle. The car gets unbelievable amount of attention on the road and is super rare to see. I have priced the vehicle to the value I believe it’s worth. I’m in no rush to sell it and if I don’t get the money I’m looking for I will not sell it.
