I have owned this car since October 2019 and I absolutely adore it. Throughout my ownership it has never missed a beat, and never failed to put a smile on my face.
The gated manual gearbox combined with the naturally aspirated 4. 2 V8 is an absolute pleasure to drive, and is part of what makes this car undoubtedly a modern classic.
This car is a 2011, making it one of the last delivered to the UK. In my opinion, it is also one of the nicest R8s out there, finished in the Audi Exclusive colour 'Kingfisher Blue', which I believe is one of three in the UK. The car also has the desirable 'Sigma' carbon fibre sideblade option and aluminium effect wing mirrors which finish it off perfectly.
The car has 2 previous owners, and a full Audi Service history, and has been maintained with no expense spared. The car will be serviced by an Audi main dealer before final sale. Recently the car was professionally detailed by Topaz Detailing in London, and there is barely a stone chip, scratch or mark anywhere on the bodywork. The interior is also very tidy. The car also comes with 4 brand new Michelin PS4S tyres, which absolutely transform the drive vs the P Zeros I had on previously. Recent work the car has had includes a brand new Bosch battery, wheel alignment, new belts, as well as oil and filters changed around 500 miles ago.
I genuinely believe this is one of the nicest R8s out there, with very low mileage, low owners, immaculate condition, impeccable service history and beautiful specification. R8 values are only going up at the moment, and a car like this is always going to benefit the most from that. With the direction modern cars are taking, more and more people are realising the value of purer cars such as the manual R8.
The car doesn't have the R Tronic auto box, which to put it bluntly is bad, and it doesn't have the Mag Ride suspension which is another option to avoid as it is prone to breaking. Everything on the car is in full working order, and the car starts and drives perfectly. You could be forgiven for thinking it was brand new.
I have adored and enjoyed this car for nearly 2 years now, however, as it stands I simply don't have time to drive it. I'm not in a rush to sell, so only sensible offers will be considered.
