Purchased brand new from “Lexus Hadley”. The first elderly lady keeper, Mrs Hodges owned and cared for this Lexus for 19 years and nine months. Until the 12th of June this year. Having decided to give up driving, she would transfer the ownership into her niece’s name. Having no use for the car her niece transferred ownership to me. The car has been very well maintained from new by the Lexus dealership or Specialist. However, the service book has been misplaced. I have contacted my Local franchise dealer who has supplied me with detailed servicing since 2012. I have outlined all available servicing records below. Exterior Condition: Supa-Guard Treated. The bodywork of my Lexus IS200 SE is quite exceptional. With the exception of perhaps a very, very small blemish you will be hard pushed to find anything worth a mention. The exterior panels and paint work is in very nice order. Looking down the side of the car every panel has a glass like finish. The elderly owner has managed the odd small corner scuff. These have always been dealt with. Keeping the car looking as good as new. All the door checks are immaculate and polished and the sill treads are unmarked. All the glass is in perfect condition. The underside is clean and rock solid. Interior Condition: Supa-Guard Treated. A non-smoker’s car from new. The cloth roof lining is immaculate and unmarked. The floor carpets are immaculate and have a deep pile. The rear seats and carpets look almost new. The front passenger seat compartment is similar. The driver’s seat compartment is quite exceptional and shows very little sign of use. All the materials are like new. I can’t stress enough how nice the interior is. It is almost like sitting in a new car.
Boot Compartment: Quite immaculate and showing little sign of ever being used. The floor carpets are like new and the black plastic trims are free from scuffs. The spare wheel tools and locking wheel nut key are all present. The spare wheel is a full-size alloy and immaculate.
Engine Compartment: Quite the sight to behold. Every panel and all engine components are free from dust and oil residuals. Having recently been shampooed and finished with a quality silicone polish.
Alloy Wheels and Tyres: The alloy wheels are in stunning condition. I have recently had the alloy wheels restored. All wheels have been powder coated and look amazing. I decided to restore the spare wheel also. Keeping everything perfectly matching. You won’t find a single blemish or kerb mark. (See my Pictures). All four tyres are matching Bridgestone’s. The front tyres have very good tread depth and are in excellent condition. The rear tyres are more recent and have excellent tread depth.
On the Road: My Lexus IS200 automatic drives as you would expect a well-maintained, low miles Lexus should. Turn the key and the engine instantly bursts into life. The first thing you will notice is how smooth the straight 6 engine runs. Stop at the traffic lights and you won’t hear her running. The steering feels taught and positive. The suspension is firm and comfortable. The engine runs smooth and revs freely and there is plenty of power. The throttle response is instantaneous and the automatic gears move up and down the box, seamlessly. This is really a wonderful car to drive.
This is a really special and well cared for car. It has wanted for nothing. It has the 2. 0 straight 6 Engine which gives excellent fuel consumption and has good performance, 153bhp. The engine mechanics and all electrical options are in perfect working order. The car drives as it left the factory. The exterior bodywork is quite exceptional and the Interior is amazing. The engine compartment is a sight to behold and boot compartment is perfect.
My Lexus wants for nothing. The Mot isn’t due until September next year and I have just had a new service completed. (Including a new cam belt kit) The next service isn’t due until September next year or longer if you are a low mile’s driver. Other than some road tax and insurance, there is nothing for the new owner to attend to. Just drive her away and enjoy.
My car is as good as you will find.
