Description
I am selling my 3. 5 liter SS Jaguar Saloon with a heavy heart.
This car was sold in Switzerland in 1939 by today's Jaguar importer Emil Frey. The car was auctioned in London prior to 1996, where it was put up for sale by Brooks for Paul Skilleter. As was customary at the time, the car underwent a full professional restoration. The car is therefore much better off today than it was when it left the factory.
Since its completion in 2005, it has only been driven a little due to lack of time, it has the Swiss veteran status and was, among other things, in Ludwigsburg at the Fiva Concours d 'Elegance' Classic meets Barock 'winner in the pre-war limousine category.
A few spare parts will be handed in for the car. Original samples of the leather and the interior are also still present. New leather, for example, was tanned and dyed according to these patterns, exactly as it looked back then.
The car is privately sold 'as is.' If you are interested, please ask the questions beforehand and inspect the car.
Reasons for selling: Space and I no longer have the nerve to drive it in today's Swiss road traffic.
Known defects: windshield cannot be opened, is cemented in for better tightness; The timer is no longer running, probably gummy; The sun roof is a bit stiff, but it works.
More pictures on request.
Older Heritage Certificate available.
