Putting my 1974 S3 400 up for sale as I need to make some space in the garage. Imported from France, I’ve had it 4 years with UK registered V5 in my name with correct year plate (N reg). 16k miles showing on speedo, which (coincidently) matches the 25k kph one it replaced and is believed to be correct. I fitted an Accent electronic ignition system, new Lithium battery, halogen headlight, new front brake line and pads and the correct UK handlebars. It has Koni rear shocks and the original exhausts. It has a year correct professional blue paint job (no stickers anywhere).
I’ve not touched the inside of the engine, but recently did a 70 mile mixed ride on it with no issues.
It’s not a show bike so has a couple of things that would improve the overall appearance. The left exhaust is solid but would benefit from a re-chrome. The seat is original (no tears) but came in a nice shade of white when I bought the bike. I attempted to stain in black with a degree of success but it’s not perfect. The centre stand needs a new pin.
Other than that, it’s an honest bike.
