EXTERIOR
Subaru’s iconic blue and gold colour scheme looks fantastic on this low mileage 2014 WRX STI. The paintwork presents in excellent original condition and boasts a deep glossy shine throughout, the only real negatives to report being a couple of discreet marks on the rear bumper and a few light stone chips at the front end, further evidencing the car’s honesty. This attractive Type UK example is additionally equipped with a Bottomline lower lip and skirt kit for a more aggressive stance.
INTERIOR
Inside, the cabin still presents like new. The STI sports seats are immaculately presented – the driver’s bolster is barely even wrinkled and the Alcantara centres are pristine. The seats are finished with contrasting red accents that carry through to the gearknob, steering wheel, door cards, and carpet mats. The dash and centre console are laced with glossy carbon fibre, really adding to the sense of occasion. Factory specification includes keyless entry and start, cruise control, Bluetooth and USB, dual zone climatic AC, and Driver Controlled Centre Differential (DCCD) all-wheel drive.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 2. 5-litre Boxer engine starts on the button, sounding great through the STI’s quad pipes. The engine bay remains factory fresh with no signs of any damage or poor repair to be found. The car has been well maintained from new and boasts an excellent service history with 5 stamps in the original service booklet. The car further benefits from a recent timing belt and water pump change done in February 2021 at 17, 491 miles.
WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES
The 18-inch STI alloys look fantastic in gold and remain in perfect unmarked condition apart from the nearside front which has now picked up a small curb mark (not pictured). They are shod in a matching set of Dunlop tyres with ample tread remaining. The brakes are also in fine operational condition with plenty of life left; new pads were fitted all round in April 2021 at 18, 037 miles. The car is further equipped with Whiteline Performance anti-roll bars, a sensible upgrade to vastly improve grip and handling without affecting the ride quality or comfort.
HISTORY FILE
This handsome WRX STI was first registered in September 2014; it was supplied new by SG Petch Ltd, North Yorkshire. It has now driven just 20k miles in the hands of only five keepers since new. Despite its low mileage the car is accompanied by a great maintenance history with a recent cambelt change under its belt and five service stamps in the original service booklet, the first three from Subaru main agents. All in all, a fantastic example and a car we know well having sold it to the current owner.
