Description
KTM 250 MX.
Very quick and properly sorted machine.
1981 chassis with the better 82 reed valve motor.
Raced several times at Farleigh Castle with success.
Lots of work gone into this to make it competitive.
Motor was ported and tuned by Gibbs performance using a modified reed block, Revs out cleanly, idles clean.
Clutch modified and has period factory mechanism giving a light pull and better clearance.
Shocks specially valved for my weight (83kg) and forks with modified internals.
Brakes re machined.
Wide pegs.
Maguri levers.
This is a bike that really works, super quick and will live with the open class machines. Its light, and very good handling.
Cosmetics were of less importance to me, so it has the chips and wear of a used bike.
Give it a check over and you are immediately competitive with this.
It's something different, in the day this was recognised to be a good weapon in MX and Enduro.
Few about in the UK, but in Europe more popular and its where parts are easily available.
Comes with a few spares and contacts.
Delivery is easy and inexpensive.
