The LX was a special edition car with only 2, 500 made. It's believed that there are only 20 of the MK2 LX left. They came in three colours, red, green and silver. It is also believed that this is the last silver one left.

Externally, the LX has a strong sporting image with wide profile tyres, rear aerodynamic spoiler, twin door mirrors which are colour-matched to the bodywork and black trim on the centre pillar.
The car's identity is also reflected by it's unique trim. The LX is equipped with body-contoured sports seats trimmed with exclusive 'Chintz' fabric in stripes to match the exterior colour; this fabric also lining the shaped door panels.
