1972 CITROEN “MASERATI” SM
Just arrived in stock is this amazing, rare Citroen “Maserati” Sm .
As most of you familiar with the model will note this is an original US supplied car denoted by the fixed headlamp arrangement and lack of perspex covers. It has been in the UK for the last 6 years and prior to this lived all its ilife in the dry state of Arizona which has ensured it has remained corrosion free on the underside.
Whilst in the UK it has undergone some significant expenditure including a full repaint in a very striking metallic purple. In 2018 it also had some significant interior trim work including the rear seats fully recovered, new headlining, sun visors, rear panels, the door all pads and interior panels were also retrimmed at the same time using two full hides of leather . The front seats remain in excellent condition although have a couple of pieces of loose stitching that could easily be rectified by a trimmer. It has also had european specification rear lights fitted to conform to UK standards for mot, replacement fuel pump, new rotor arm, distributor, plugs and leads and a large service.
This is a beautiful looking, mechanically correct sm that represents unbelievable value in the current market. The paintwork has a beautiful finish and depth of shine to it , if I am being hyper critical there is the odd small prep mark here and there, specifically on the nearside front wing and rear quarter, most people wouldn’t even bother or notice but I do like to give a thorough description of a car and this is more than reflected in the asking price that is significantly below current market value and £20k less than the next car currently on the UK .
It is of course fully HPI clear and free of any accident history or outstanding finance.
