Yamaha RZV500R for sale. C reg, very low mileage, with only 8723km.
If you're looking to buy an RD500LC, this is the one to go for, the Japanese version. It has a few upgrades compared to the RD, in addition to the alloy frame it has rebound damping adjusters on the tops of the fork legs and an engine temperature gauge that doubles up as a fuel level meter. The frame saves 9kg, but it has two types of restriction. First are the exhausts, they have reducers in them. I have removed those, so that job is done. Second is the carbs, I haven't yet looked at them, so that is a job that needs doing, then you have a full power V4 two stroke, with the benefit of a light frame.
I imported this myself from Japan, I have fitted new Bridgestone BT46 tyres, and a new gold DID chain and sprocket set. The gold chain nicely matches the gold wheels. I have put in new gearbox oil, new plugs, air filter and a new battery. It passed its mot, with no advisories, so then I was able to send away for the V5. Whilst waiting for DVLA I sent the forks off to Philpotts to get them re-chromed, this time with hard chrome, better than original, they also polished the legs for me. I also sent the lower exhausts off to be ceramic coated black. One job that I think needs doing is a respray, as can be seen in the pictures, one or two areas that aren't ideal. I had my 350LC resprayed by the UK expert Mark Cordwell in Derby, he has given me a quote to do this bike, which I can share with the new owner. I think with a respray with a few bits done here and there and it would be a show bike. It comes with some matching leathers, and a workshop booklet.
