Description

SOLD** 1960’s Sport Uomo Aprilia A3 bike.
Ivano Beggio first proper bike design circa 1968 (possibly earlier before Ivano Beggio took control of the company from Alberto Beggio).
Before then the A1 moped (dated 1962) and A2 (dated 1964?).

Chassis number stamped on the frame = A3X0865X
Engine 3M/ R.
No speedometer or mileometer.

This is a museum piece with 48cc Morini Franco engine with pedal starting. Superb condition. One of 6 left in the world (unless you can advise me otherwise!). A forerunnner to the brilliant Aprilia designs of today.

Fully running and was serviced before putting on display. This bike is an important part of Aprilia history and is essentially a museum piece. Therefore I’m selling for this intention only please (without a V5).

The apriliaforum. com has some brief conversations on this model and the virtual museum has an archived photo of an identical bike.

Also sold with instruction booklet for the 48 Morini Franco engine.
