Welcome to the sale of our 1969 Volkswagen Split Screen Micro-bus 15 Window.
This Bus would be an ideal investment for someone looking to start or add to a wedding car business or very easy to turn into a camper van as it is registered as a camper (Colour: White).
The bus was fully restored in 2017 and has been a successful Wedding transport side-line for us for the last 5 years. The bus is white over anthracite silver hand as the correct Truck rated tyres and upgraded suspension; this was to accommodate its use of transporting up to 6 wedding party members at a time. I have copies of all the invoices to show how much went into this restoration, all paperwork is present including MOTs(although MOT and Tax exempt) and plenty of pictures to show the journey. I am the first UK registered owner since the bus was imported from Brazil in 2016.
The restoration saw the bus taken back to tare metal, the left side paned and part of the flooring panels completely replaced, this is a good genuine solid bus and the underside is coated with “red oxide paint and undersealed”. The interior has recovered seats in the same vinyl used in the marine industry, cream with silver piping and an engineering wood floor, with all window seal rubbers replaced and a new stainless steel rosewood steering wheel.
Mechanically the bus is sound all new bearings and reconditioned GERMAN steering box was installed and new breaks throughout including brake pipes. A new wiring loom was installed, and all electricals replaced including lights and ignition system, all work correctly. (The Bus is now more German than Brazilian)
A new 1641cc Engine and Gearbox were installed in 2019 and the reduction boxes were overhauled, new exhaust, clutch, electronic fuel pump and a new carburettor were fitted at the same time, giving the bus great reliability.
The bus is not concourse and has a scuff on the LH side shown in the pictures, with a few age/ usage marks and the fuel gauge is temperamental.
This has been a great “well looked after” Bus and has always been kept in dry storage. Attending over 40 weddings with the colour being very popular with photographers and brides.
