I am selling this beautiful 1966 BSA a65 spitfire mk11 special.
full nut and bolt restoration no expense spared bike bought from rex Judd in Edgware London.
first day of march 1966 so on a d registration
loads of srm mods end feed conversion ie clutch conversion sump plate with magnetic plug. O rings on shafts
brand new gearbox complete with shafts all bushes seals bearings replaced woodruff keys spacers all replaced. Big valve head unleaded seats inserted new valves and guides and springs and head ported and gas flowed new Amal concentric carburetor's 32mm new filters (washable type)
all new cables new headlight led bulbs. New rear light and housing.
new grey-faced instruments are fitted not restored but brand new old stock same with the housings and rubbers
pazon ignition new Lucas cloth-covered loom Dyna ignition coils new gel battery new chainguard new chain Reynolds and sprockets new footrests and rubbers new side stand and center stand new exhaust system and both wheels have been rebuilt with stainless spokes all new bearings, front forks all totally refurbished seals bushes and stanchions top nuts handlebars levers and control levers all new spindles and a new seat.
these bikes were the flagship of the range and aimed to replace the BSA gold star and rocket gold star, being an mk11 it is the first generation (mk1 being an a10) and so the most sort after being the fastest production bike out the crate in 1966.
this bike is the real deal and still sporting its 190mm front brake, but with Eddie dow twin leading shoe brake now this bike stops
dual valve forks and Dunlop deep rim alloy wheels.
the bike is in original condition but has been upgraded for daily use,
so has had the all-important roller bearing crank conversion by srm to strengthen the crank,(a £1500 mod)
a new motobatt battery and ngk v spark plugs have just been fitted,
so this bike starts easily and ticks over smooth and strong,
it’s a joy to ride and guaranteed to turn heads.
comes with loads of history and original sales leaflet rear carrier not fitted BSA riders manual and all documentation bsa toolkit in a roll included and period tax disc for the year, shed a load of receipts
it is a matching numbers machine.

you would be hard pushed to find an example as good as this it is a rideable pension pot, it's only going up in value not down.
