This van was originally built in and used as bus in South Africa, the rarity of the curved rear windows that means the van is so much lighter inside than other T2 Bay Windows.
VWSA only built the 2-axle Brazilian Bay/ Split screen hybrid, know as Brasilia between 1976-1978. - details above All parts came from Brazil apart from the glass which was manufactured in South Africa.
Declared manufactured in 1977, registered in 01/ 01/ 1978 and imported to the UK from South Africa on 02/ 06/ 2017. It was used as a bus for a season for wedding parties. Purchased on 27/ 10/ 2017 we had Bertie converted and installed with a full width rock’n’roll bed, VanWerks kitchen unit, Dometic fridge and hob, heater, interior lights and many parts replaced to give Bertie the TLC he needed. The extent of the works carried out can be seen in the photographs of the invoices.
Unfortunately we are selling because we do not have the time due to work commitments, to give Bertie the future TLC he will need as a registered Historic Vehicle going forward.
Custom covers screen wrap and made to measure thermal/ blackout pads with suction cups included to cover all windows.
