Welcome to the sale of my much loved
tvr .
i have owned the car for just over 7 years now and in that time i have probably not done 2000 miles at a guess.
its currently sitting on just over 79k
i have finally come to realise its just not going to get used in all honesty as it doesn't seem to fit into our lifestyle and spends most of its time in the garage covered up.
i occasionally get it out only on dry days or car shows and that's about it.
i think its done less that 60 miles between the last mot !!
its safe to say it's never seen rain or a puddle for that matter as i always go out topless !!
the chassis is perfect as its been waxoiled and being that it never comes out of the garage unless its dry is testament to it
when i got the tvr the carpets were the usual faded rubbish so i replaced them and have a photographic step by step of the whole process when they were changed.
i also upgraded the wheels to multi spoke alloys which are 17's up front and 18's on the rear which in my opinion bring it right up to date and it drives so much better on them.
the tyres are in very good condition and are goodyear eagle f1's all round
i have the original alloys with perfect tyres as well
i have two complete roofs but tend to use the "split targa" as its easier to store in the boot and being that i always go out with the top down it's never bothered me that it's not perfect (just needs correct seal down the centre)
i have a perfect spare targa and rear section to go with the car should i be not bid down too much.
it has a private plate on which reads loud, as it is, which will stay on the car if the asking price is met .
the bodywork is in what i would say to be a good 8/ 10 with a few age related marks here and there with the the worst being below the driver's door mirror.
overall the car presents very well as i take it to classic car shows and like the fact its still in its factory paintwork which is the fantastic and rare
rolex blue which changes in the light
the grey leather is in perfect unmarked condition and everything works as it should.
the engine is the 4. 0 rv8 which pulls very well and sounds glorious and has good oil pressure.
there are no knocks, bangs or rattles and breaths a lot better than standard due to it being fitted with the smooth bore induction and pipercross filter kit
i have always had the oil changed at every mot regardless of mileage.
it has a fully stamped-up service book and a stack of bills totalling over 12k.
i also have the tvr "bible" and a set of rare clear indicator lenses
all in all this is a fantastic car which sounds and goes really well and would make a perfect summer toy that can be enjoyed and if given that extra push will make it mint. If the car goes for the asking price or very close, i will include the spare roof, targa, spare alloys and private plate and clear lenses.
i think i have covered everything but i am sure there will be loads more having owned it for so long.
mot-wise, it is always done in september and always goes straight through and i'll be happy to have this extended to 12 months, again if full price is agreed upon which is.
