Hello and welcome to the sale of this rather lovely 1937 Morris 8 series II, this is one of those pre war cars that truly can be enjoyed by the whole family thanks to the far greater space you get inside over other small pre war cars.
The condition of this car is genuinely very nice, it's definitely been subject to a very high quality restoration in the past (my guess mid 90's) which can be seen in the way things have been done on this car. The paint has been applied beautifully and has a wonderful depth, being the older job it's starting to show a few small imperfections that to me add alot of character to the car as it shows that it's been a well used and enjoyed vehicle. The little touches such as the box on the luggage rack I find wonderful and if I were to keep this car over the summer I'd use it to pack supplies for a nice traditional picnic!
Inside the car you will find very good rich red interior that has all been done in the correct style materials for the car which I personally find very important and it does feel like a proper pre war to be in. One thing I do very much like about the eight is the amount of room given for both the vertically and horizontally challenged, I at a tad over 6ft fit in the car with plenty of room for rear passengers to get in.
Mechanically this old beauty is genuinely very good, I feel this car is one that could be driven quite regularly and happily in todays world. The engine is like a little sewing machine and the "dog leg" style gearbox again is very silent and benifits from synchro on 2nd and 3rd. Fliud brakes as standard also make this pre war that bit nicer to drive as the brakes feel more like a 60s car. Underside again is very very nice. The car has also had a separate system layed for more modern indicators which are fairly hidden and help in todays traffic.
I feel for such a lovely useable pre war the price of £6995 is very fair, I have alot more photos plus a running video and can help get cheap delivery.
