1949 Pontiac Silver Streak
This Pontiac is in great condition being 73 years old!
It has the straight 8 engine and 3 on the tree column shift transmission. It drives really well for its age,
The Pontiac is very solid and has just had some metal work on the rear fenders and some paint touch ups around the car but has been kept looking old and weathered which really suits the car. Just replaced the rear gravel guards with NOS ones i found in America!
Couple of the side windows have cracks but are flat glass so could be replaced if you wanted.
It was hired by Universal pictures while in the States and can be seen in Indiana Jones and the KIngdom of the Crystal Skull and The Express(The Ernie Davis story)
You can really enjoy this car because as the paint is old you don't have to worry about where you park it. It still looks fantastic when you see it but has marks etc in various places. The kids say "Patina"
Rear bumper has a slight dent and a few marks around the front one but again very good for 73 years old!
Interior is very clean with good seats carpet and headlining.
The Pontiac has had some wiring done previously and the headlights are temperamental, temp and fuel guage also have a mind of their own and speedo is a bit noisy so I've disconnected the cable.
I took this as a P/ X recently and absolutely love it but I don't keep cars long so thought I'd advertise before summer if anyone is looking for one. I'm open to close offers but am not in a hurry to sell.
