EGLI 750 Honda 1976 - Offers over £7000

UK registered V5C in my name. Owned by me since 1982. The log book states “ Declared assembled from parts” and was first registered in 1976. Built using a genuine EGLI race frame supplied by the factory, one of a handful of special lightweight race frames EGLI made for racing Honda CB750 SOHC engines.
Last used on the road in 2007. Engine runs OK. Clean oil and filter recently fitted. Piper fast road cam fitted but otherwise the engine is standard road specification. Major engine overhaul in 1995, only 1000 miles since. Tendency to wetsump down the oil return pipe if left standing for long periods, non-return valve fitted. Starter motor not fitted but all parts to refit are supplied with the bike. Overall, the bike will require some recommissioning and improvements before use.

Fuel Tank – Alloy. UK made by Terry Baker (TAB Classics). Bubble under paint near breather pipe.
Wheel rims - Borrani 18” flanged alloy.
Handlebars - Laverda Jota adjustable Brevettato.
Instruments – Standard Honda Nippon Denso.
Ignition – Electronic.
Side panels – genuine EGLI.
Anti-surge oil tank – genuine EGLI.
Seat – Made in UK.
Rear shock absorbers – Hagon.
Swing arm – Box section nickel plated – Possibly Dresda.
Front Forks – 38mm Ceriani, possibly ex-Laverda.
Front brake – AP Lockheed alloy race master cylinder, Brembo PO8 Calipers.
Rear Brake – Honda drum cable operated.
Exhaust system – Polished stainless steel 4-1 – UK made by Sheffield Stainless.
Battery - New.
Tyres – Pirelli. New in 1990s, replacements recommended.
