A truly great piece of early Lotus history, chassis number 008 - The Earl's Court Motor Show car. Still sporting her original and somewhat daring colour scheme of Lilac and yellow, this important Elite was originally registered to the Lotus factory and has some interesting and unique design features which never made it onto later production cars. Of special note is the fuel tank which is encapsulated in the right-hand front wing. In its lifetime, 6 SML has had only 3 owners, the last owner acquiring the car in the late 50's. Incredible amount of history, one for the serious collector or true enthusiast.
