description: More commonly seen in military spec. This is the rare civilian version of moto guzzi’s 500cc single cylinder falcone that isn’t often seen in the uk so here’s an opportunity to be a bit different! First registered in italy in january 1972. imported to the uk & registered here in may 2016. incredibly there is records of all the previous keepers including the 4 italian ones & 2 previous uk owners included in the extensive history file. 43, 732 kilometres(27, 174 miles) showing on the clocks believed genuine & consistant with gov. uk mot database records from 2016-2018. tax & mot exempt as an historic vehicle. Hpi clear with recent report. Large file present including many receipts, technical information, maintenance & restoration records, too much to list but makes interesting reading. Also included is a riders manual, workshop manual, spares catalogue, 2 pullers, sundry spare parts including bulbs, decal set, fuel filters, oil filter, points, condensor etc. Finished in the original model launch colours, with a bright red frame and white body parts, this nuovo falcone remains in excellent condition, having been ridden sparingly since the restoration. The metal, plastic, and rubber body trims are in good order, with the two beautiful lafranconi exhaust silencers stealing the show. It starts very easily off the electric start which is real bonus on a big single. The way this huge starter motor puts inertia into the huge (enclosed) flywheel to provide easy and reliable starting is a joy to behold, as you can see in the video. On the road it’s lazy in character but surprisingly punchy and managing the soft suspension and agricultural gearbox is a rewarding challenge on a bike that handles & brakes rather better than you might expect. Unlike most classics it really is fun to ride as show. In the youtube video link above. The engine is very sweet with no smoke rattles or leaks. The gearbox is as smooth as you'll ever get in an old guzzi but takes a little getting used to. This classic bike really does turn heads & attracts admiration wherever you go! The only criticism i can make is the paintwork on the tank lets it down slightly as an attempt has been made to paint round the original decals. A nice idea that hasn't really worked although there is another set of decals included if you feel like rectifying this. Overall a beautifully restored italian classic that can be ridden. With classic italian bikes constantly rising in value this is also a very good investment too & keenly priced to sell so be quick!
