This exceptional special edition Mazda MX5 MKI has covered just 41, 500 miles from new and has arrived in immaculate condition throughout. The Merlot special edition was finished in Vin Rouge Mica and featured colour coded mudflaps, 15” alloy wheels, a luxurious Grey leather trim with Burgundy piping and wood effect centre console with a wooden gear knob and handbrake grip. Only 600 of these rare special edition model were built and our car comes with its original handbooks and folder, spare keys, MOT’s back to three years old and a comprehensive file of invoices for servicing and upkeep.
Our car was first registered on the 23rd August 1996 and was supplied new by Warrington Mazda. The supplying dealership serviced the Mazda at 9968 and 11533 miles and in 2001 and 2002 Stratstone of Wilmslow serviced the car at 18132 and 22672 miles. The following two services were carried out by independent garages at 34910 and 39564 miles. From 2012 to 2019 the Mazda was in hibernation, dry stored and well preserved. In 2019 the car sold to one of our regular customers and has been superbly maintained since. Over 2019 and 2020 the Mazda was serviced, had new rear discs and pads, new radiator, new thermostat and cam cover gasket.
The MX5 presents beautifully and receipts are on file for various detailing to include refurbishing the alloy wheels, powder coating the heat shield and crinkle coating the rocker cover, a multi stage machine polish and ceramic coating. The bodywork is excellent with a stunning paint finish, and the engine bay and interior are superbly presented. The underbody is structurally excellent, and both hard top and soft tops are in excellent condition. On the road the car is first class, it is exceptional to drive and is exactly what would be expected from a top class, well maintained low mileage example.
