For sale,
1996 Blackberry pearl Volvo 960 Estate with Ivory cream interior.
Mileage - 110190 (subject to increase as still used from time to time)
Engine - 3L Straight six, I believe it to be the higher output 200hp model
Gearbox - aw30-43 4 speed auto with torque converter lockup
Owners - 3 (I was told the first owner had it for over 20 years)
Last owner being myself since September 2021.
The reason for the sale, My work situation has changed recently and will be required to work overseas for a large portion of each month. Forcing the sale of the vehicle.
From what appears, this vehicle was supplied with a lot of options
The car features
- Winter package (Locking Differential)
- Cruise control
- Heated seats (as explained early not working)
- Sunroof - no leaks

- Independent rear suspension as opposed to live axle.

As for the rest of the vehicle,
- the paintwork is in good condition, a few stone chips and marks that come with a vehicle of its age
- With it being a 96 vehicle it comes with an OBD 2 port for reading engine codes
- The vehicle comes with all original floor mats, with paintwork colour matched writing on them
- The body of the vehicle is rust free, apart from the drivers side wing as mentioned below
- The interior condition is good has a few marks but overall is in good condition
- The cup holders spring mechanism still works.
- All 4 wheels have been recently refurbished and coloured white
- I believe the original tool kit is complete and comes with the vehicle
- There is a full size spare under the boot floor, accompanied by an extra tyre iron
- Engine and gearbox runs and drives as it should, very smooth.

- All gas struts hold
- Timing belt looks to have at least 30-40k miles left
I've undertaken some work on the vehicle during my ownership
- All callipers replaced with brand new parts
Rear brake discs and both inner and outer pads
I serviced the engine recently (spark plugs and oil)
- Power steering fluid has been replaced
- Throttle body and gasket have been replaced with new Volvo part
- Centre support mount bearing has been replaced with new Volvo part
- Both 02 sensors have been replaced
- 2 new front tyres (rears are almost new) and all wheels balanced
*-Repaired HVAC fan squeal from behind the dashboard
Now for the bad bits.
- The drivers side front wing has started to rust (shown in photos)
- The heated seats don’t work, i believe this will be the relay, i've checked them and when the heated seats are turned on, the light in the switch works but the relay does not click
- Service history stamps upto 60k miles (latest marked in the 80k mile check box) The car appears to still have been serviced at the regular intervals as the timing belt has been replaced at what appears to be the correct interval.

I regret having to sell the vehicle, but hopefully the vehicle will go to a good home, and someone else can cherish this wonderful vehicle.
