LOTUS ESPRIT S2 1978 `FIELD FIND` PROJECT SILVER ORIGINAL - EXCELLENT VALUE
This Lotus Esprit is not your usual barn find. The car has not been used since 1983 when the car was taken off the road and unfortunately left outside, hence its condition. There has been several colour changes but the original colour was red. The body shell is very good but many layers of paint are peeling which makes the car look far worse than it is. The shell itself is all original with good panel fit. Has all the original fitment except for the steering wheel which has been changed for a period JPS wheel which is in-keeping with the car. The original engine fortunately was kept in the garage which will need a rebuild as well as the rest of the car. I have had a good look at the chassis and it appears serviceable and does look galvanised. Low mileage and ownership. The car had four flat tyres and have been changed for slave tyres to allow the car to roll. We struggled to open the driver's door but this has now been achieved but unable at present to open the passenger side and engine cover.
A great opportunity for a ground-up restoration.
