Beschreibung
This is a very genuine and excellent example of limited edition classic Mini Sidewalk finished in Kingfisher blue . Three mature owners since new and 32600 genuine miles with comprehensive service history. Excellent overall condition with immaculate interior. Full working order and totally unmolested complete with original working radio cassette. The original spare wheel and tool kit are unused. MOT until April 2023 with one small advisory regarding parking brake efficiency. Not to be confused with some of the tired examples that have come to the market.
Sidewalks are rare, attractive cars, this car is complete with original steel wheels and trims but currently sits on a set of the optional Minilites . Ready to be used and enjoyed and, with good, routine maintenance, has the potential to appreciate in value. It is registered with the Sidewalk owners club and will be great for shows and drive outs. Insurance is around £110 pa on a classic car policy.
Unusually, it is a time warp example and enjoys a blue chip provenance. First registered in November 1995 to a lady in Uxbridge who covered 20000 miles prior to sale in 2002. The original handbook pack and sales brochure are still present. The car then passed to an elderly lady who covered a further 12000 miles over the next 18 years with only 2000 in the last 10, prior to giving up driving in 2019. The car was been maintained and MOT by the same local garage throughout her ownership. I acquired from her estate in January 2020 and the total mileage is now 32500, verified by all previous MOTs.
On purchase by myself it was reported that the late owner always garaged the car and never drove it in the rain, this is probably the reason why it still looks so good. The service records show it had around £1300 spent on “various body repairs” at a local garage 2012 together with a small patch welded “between floor and offside sill “for MOT in 2015. I carried out some minor cosmetic work around the seam area adjoining front panel and wings in March 2022, the job is “ok” but could easily be improved by a specialist, photos are available to show no rot in those areas at the time of repair. There has also been a very small cosmetic repair at the bottom of the drivers door. It is unclear whether the front wings were replaced in 2012 they probably were not because the invoice cost was modest but, if they were, the work was completed to an excellent standard and not discernible as shown in the photographs.
There is no record or sign of major structural work to the car, the sills and subframes appear original and there is evidence of rust preventative treatment from new.
I am selling the car in order to focus attention on my Mk1 saloon and because the body work of the car is in far better shape than my own!
