I've decided to sell my Ford Racing Puma as I have too many cars and am not using it enough. If you're reading this you probably know what the Racing Puma is, a limited edition of Ford's popular hatch that was a bit of a sales disaster at the time with just under 500 produced but has since gone on to be recognised as one of the best fast Ford's ever. Each car sold was numbered and this is number 205.
The previous owners kept the car to a very high standard and I have receipts for work and parts totalling over £20k from the previous owners 5 year ownership of the car. Amongst the work completed the car has had new bushes, bearings, fuel tank, hubs, heat shields, central locking, steering wheel retrimmed, front splitter and much much more, all documented with receipts. The car has featured in both Evo and Motorsport Magazine's, a copy of both will come with the car.
Anyone who knows about 90's / 00's Ford's will know these cars are prone to corrosion, fortunately for the next owner this car has wanted for nothing and in 2020 over £8k was spent having the car stripped and brand new inner and outer sills fitted and the car resprayed. I have hundreds of pictures showing the restoration process, a memory stick will come with the car. If you're looking to buy a Racing Puma the only way to know what lies beneath the paint work is to buy one that has had this work completed and documented.
The car is completely standard, except for the front brake disks which are no longer available. He had Puma Build replica items fitted to keep the car serviceable and kept the old Alcon disks that will come with the car. The car maintains the all important and highly effective original Alcon callipers which were recently serviced by Allison Automotive.
The car was recently serviced with two brand new Michelin Cup tyres fitted to the front, there is plenty of life left in the rears.
The FRP private plate is included in the sale. The car comes with a seat cover, a few spares and a huge file of receipts documenting the cars history. The car has lived an easy life, no track days and used mainly on motorways on road trips across Europe.
This is one of the few Racing Puma's in the country ready to jump in and enjoy, a well known car that shouldn't need any major expenditure for year's to come.
The mileage may be higher than some but I'd much rather have a car that has been used and cherished than one that may have sat deteriorating.
