Vintage USA Ranch/ Cattle Trailer from the 1950's 1960's period.
Imported from a dry state years back.
Most probably the only one of its kind in the UK.
Gorgeous patina, with original paint showing through, and 60 odd years worth of character and charm, with some light surface rust.
Tows absolutely fine, hitch locks onto a standard UK 50mm tow ball. Just covered 180 miles of being dragged down the motorways the other week, and towed like a dream.
Although I have to make it clear that at the end of the day its a very old trailer, with no working brakes, so probably wouldn't want much more weight added, unless you have a heavy tow vehicle, or are replacing the brakes.
Very well balanced trailer, lights and electrics need re-wiring (lights and some wiring present, but no plug) - or just use a trailer board.
Spare wheel fitted, and internal dividing gate.
Originally would have been braked, drums are on the front axle, but brakes are not in use, and hitch is a solid bar.
Rock solid, and structurally sound, the only rust is light surface rust, which adds to the character in my opinion.
I had been planning to fit new lights, wiring, new hitch and jockey wheel assembly, and retro fit all new brakes from a trailer parts suppliers.
My intentions were to turn it into a little 'pop up' business to take to shows, fairs and festivals. This built into a food stall or USA style BBQ smoker trailer will get so much more attention than your usual white box fast food trailers. There are so many different routes you could go down with this trailer.
Would love to keep it for myself, but desperate too free up space, and too many projects on the go.
Located Ware, Hertfordshire. Tow away at buyers discretion or have it collected via low loader etc.
Nation wide recovery available at buyers expense (ask for a quote).
Thanks, Matt the details below)
