Renault R8 Gordini FIA Rally Car
This Gordini has been a rally car from new, race history is available. From 1970 to 1980 it was competing on a regular basis, after that it was stored and mainly used for some hobby ice racing.
The current owner purchased it in 2001. He raced it in 2002 and 2005, then decided to restore it. The full restoration was eventually started and completed in 2015, since then it has not been used for competition and mainly stored amongst his other cars. The car was in quite good condition prior to the restoration, this can be seen in the restoration photos and the old FIA passport from 2005.
The last FIA passport (G2 1970-1971) was issued in 2005, a new FIA passport can be issued prior to the sale if required.
