At some time it is believed sportsline coil springs were fitted (unable to confirm) which gives this 300e the firm surefooted handling you would not expect from an executive express which is a joy to drive and is functional . When using the car you get the feel of something special and that the finest of materials and engineering know how was used at the time which seems to have been lost in the modren era
On entering inside you would think you are in 1992 looking at a new car in Mercedes showroom the only giveaway is a 10p size wear spot on drivers seat bolster a weak spot on these seats but has been sealed and has not got any worse in my six year possession
Over the 30 years the exterior has had the odd small dings no paint broken nothing serious hardly visible maybe 3 in total and again odd small paint bubbling on lower edge of wheel arches not all again nothing serious there is some lacquer seperation on the bonnet (which is dissapointing)but not uncommon for cars of this age im sure a home visit by a reputable chip specialist would be able to make good without any drama
This car can be used every day and in no way feels it's age quite the opposite
Protect the value of your car purchase from the ravages of depreciation and benefit from appreciation and an absolute joy to use soon to benefit from true classic status i dont think a better car can be had than my Mercedes all things considered
might consider swap deal with quality electric motorbike like zero etc
