Hello up for sale is my stunning 1979 Pontiac Trans Am.
Imported from Tampa, Florida last year and part of a private collection for the last 20 years in Georgia.
Numbers matching and in amazing timewarp condition , I doubt you would find a more original Trans Am than this !
It's one of the nicest driving old American cars i've driven.
Details are as follows....
Factory Trans Am and Factory black car.
Original 301 Cubic inch V8 car, excellent strong running engine with no issues and with the manual transmission you can really have some fun with it.
The engine bay is in nice clean condition and looks like it just left the factory.
Starts perfect first time hot or cold, has an electric choke.
Edelbrock carb.
Flowmaster exhaust system, has a really nice rumble without being intrusive.
Original 83k miles.
Power steering.
Power Disc brakes front, drums rear.
4 speed manual transmission, shifts perfect with no issues, clutch is not heavy like some of them are, being picky sometimes there is an intermittent bearing type noise from the clutch that comes and goes, been like that since I had it never got any worse.
Refurbished 15 x 7 Snowflake wheels in excellent condition.
Recent new Raised White Letter Avenger GT tyres, 235/ 70/ 15’s
Beautiful black vinyl interior in immaculate condition, seats, carpet and headlining all flawless.
All factory gauges work.
Glass all good.
The bodywork is in excellent condition with no rust or bubbling, lower sections and quarters where they usually rot on these cars is perfect on mine, you’d struggle to find a better one on the body than this , at least in the U. K.
Factorty black car, the paint is in very good condition, possibly still the original paint but I can't say for sure, has a few very small imperfections mainly on the front and rear bumper, looks really nice and polishes up lovely.
The underneath, chassis, floors and boot area are in excellent shape and all solid, been professionally undersealed, boot area all good, I expect anyone seriously interested to check for themselves when coming to view.
MOT exempt although it was MOT'd when it was first imported just to make sure everything is in order.
Tax exempt.
London ULEZ exempt.
HPI clear.
V5 present and in my name.
Vin number all correct on dash and matching all paperwork, tag all present in the engine bay.
I have the original Pontiac order form which lists all the options the car came with and also a copy of the US title.
So to conclude this is a really nice classic Trans Am that is ready to enjoy at the car shows, it is in beautiful all round condition and I think you would struggle to find a better one for this kind of money if you are after this model, andi it's a really good investment with prices only increasing with obviously black being the most desirable colour on one of these.
Please don't mistake this for other cars advertised where they've been spray bombed black and are full of rust and bubbling, this is a factory black car in lovely unmessed with condition, yes I’m sure you’ll find one a couple of grand cheaper like the black ones recently on eBay but they were full of rot.
Viewings welcome however please only come to view if you are serious about buying as I’ve had quite a few messers already, the car seems to attract them, it's not garaged where I live so i'd rather someone come to view who actually wants to buy it as it can be a hassle to go and get it out of storage, thanks
