Description
Built between 1962 and 1971 the Triumph Vitesse received an upgraded engine in 1966 from the standard 1596cc to the straight six cylinder 1998cc engine, as fitted to the Triumph GT6. This superb example was registered on the 14th of February 1967 (how romantic) & therefore has the smooth and more powerful straight six cylinder engine producing 95bhp, delivered through its 4 speed manual gearbox with Overdrive to the rear wheels. Incredibly this Triumph Vitesse has only one owner from new! Having been thoroughly enjoyed and meticulously maintained, a full body off/ nut & bolt restoration took place during the late 1990s, along with a Kenlow electric fan being fitted. The car has seen very little use since. Presenting superbly throughout with tight shut lines & excellent panel alignment this Vitesse has a full history file & detailed photographic record of its restoration. These 2 door saloon cars are very sought after. Being that this Triumph Vitesse has only one owner from new & has been fully but sympathetically restored it really is a rare find.
