After 25 years of faithful service and nearly 280, 000 miles it’s time to move the old girl on.
One lady owner from new, we’ve always spent whatever needed spending to keep her going.
MOT’d until October.
On the last MOT the following came up and were dealt with.
Offside Rear Seat belt not functioning as intended 3rd row, so we removed the seat and the seat belt.
Nearside Front Seat belt retracting mechanism defective not fully retracting – so we got a new nearside front and offside front seat belts from Toyota.
Nearside Front Lower Suspension arm ball joint excessively worn so we replaced both sides.
Nearside Front Track rod end ball joint has excessive play – so we replaced both sides.
Central Exhaust has a major leak of exhaust gases exhaust box so we replaced the exhaust.
Nearside Rear Shock absorbers has a slightly worn bush so we replaced both rear shocks.
Rear Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement all bushes worn – so we replaced all the bushes and links.
Also recent new front discs and pads and new front propshaft.
Bad points – rust around front windscreen and on roof above n/ s rear passenger door, smokes on first start of the day but clears once warmed up, oil leak from engine somewhere, and clunk from rear if you shift quickly from drive to reverse and vibration noticeable above 55/ 60 mph from possibly rear prop or UJ. Exhaust rattles on idle.
