We are proud to offer, new into stock, our stunning example of the Ducati 749R. Our 1st generation 749R is number 383 of a limited run and has covered 14, 105 miles. Being one of the earlier 749R's it was introduced with full carbon fairings, similar to those found on its big brother, the 999R. It also benefits from the fitment of a set of gold Marchesini wheels with brand new tyres, Ducati Performance seat, carbon clutch cover, carbon rear hugger and a host of other cosmetic upgrades. This bike would be the ideal invest-able Ducati that could also be used on the open road. Supplied with 2 keys plus key card, service book and a host of paperwork including service receipts and old MOT certificates. A full service and MOT will be carried out on this bike prior to sale.
The 'R' version of the 749 was specifically built to win the World Super Sport championship. At the time it was the highest specification Ducati to have left the factory. The Supersport championship had very strict rules about altering of engines and stock parts so Ducati built this bike as an out and out racer straight from the factory. The model is above and beyond the 749S with larger valves, lighter body, shorter stroke and a higher RPM and hence more torque and power. This 749R also came with Termignoni exhaust a larger tank, slipper clutch, Ohlins forks, racing cams, and titanium valves.
