Description
The compact Jaguar 420 was introduced at the London Motor show in October 1966, it was produced for 2 years and was superseded by the all new Jaguar XJ6 in late 1968. Just over 10, 000 were built. This particular example is a very rare factory manual with overdrive, power steering and original matching numbers engine. Regularly serviced and cared for over the journey, the car comes with an extensive invoice file stretching all the way back to 1976 in Western Australia. The interior presents very well with the wood work, control panel, carpets, head lining, dash and dials all in excellent condition. The leather is in good order with some wear that only adds to the patina of this lovely Jaguar from a bygone era. The body is straight with some small areas that require attention but still presents very well. The last and best of the classic Jaguar saloons, This rare 54 year old 420 has a well earned patina.
