MOT passed November 8th 2022. Designed by Bruno Sacco, the head of styling at Daimler Benz between 1975 and 1999 - arguably their golden age when Mercedes were built to last - this is the first generation of the CL Class known also known as the W140. This car has been in the family for 15 years and has been very well looked after at no small expense, so no surprises coming. Everything works. Original radio available on request. This pillarless coupe is most at home cruising over long distances on medium to fast roads. It is the most comfortable car. Built with very little attention to cost - it even has double glazing. It has a large number of high end features, all working. Parktronic front and back sensors, retractable rear sun visor, headlamp wash/ wipe, heated seats, memory seat positions, retractable rear head rests. No rust. Alloys have been recently refurbed. Steering box fully refurbed in February 2022 under 1 year (non-transferable) warranty (leak identified in November 2021 MOT), so no longer an issue. Car available for viewing outside of ULEZ in Carshalton Beeches, at the bottom of Sutton, Greater London - so easier to road test too.
