This car was supplied from the United States by Trans Am Specialties of Florida in 2016, which is the world leader in sourcing and providing the very best Trans Ams available. It has led a pampered life and has had two American owners and one Irish owner and it has never spent a night outside. It was sold new on the East coast and so doesn't have the usual anti-smog attachments which are a curse to deal with and lead to a greatly underpowered car. This car has none of that and in fact, comes with the much sought-after Pontiac 400 matching numbers engine from the factory, which produced more power and a better driving experience than the more common Oldsmobile 403 engine. It also comes with factory-fitted options such as the 3-speed GM auto box along with ice-cold air conditioning, a rare rear heated screen, and the very rare deep dish snowflake 15"x7"alloys with Uniroyal tiger paw GTS tyres. The space saver spare tyre has never been used.
The front number plate has never been used so the front bumper retains the indents for the fitment of the plates but has never been drilled.
The car has won numerous prizes over the years including the Best American car at Autofest 2019 and has been shown all over the country at shows and events.
This car the same as the famous car used in the Hooper movie from 1978, which starred the late great Burt Reynolds as a film stuntman. The car comes with a set of the plates used in the movie along with a signed movie poster by Burt Reynolds, fully authenticated of course!
This car is in show condition. It comes in the very rare Buccaneer Red paint, which combined with its original hood decal makes for a very rare specification in this model. The interior is in perfect condition, including a flawless vinyl dash which was described by Trans Am Specialties of Florida as 'the best dash pad we have ever seen'.
This is a 'survivor car' and is virtually untouched since new, and has covered only 59, 800 miles. It was serviced most recently by American muscle car specialists in Ireland.
