"Evie" has had only Two former keepers from new - Both of which are the same person as it was originally a company car then turned private use.
Owned previously by an old woman who had 68 years experience and a member of the Guild of Experienced Motorists (still have the membership cards) and who then died and the car remained garages for a number of years.
Purchased under a year ago and only being reluctantly being sold to make way for a convertible younger sister.
Inside, the interior is cream and in near mint condition with a hole in the carpet under accelerator pedal caused by the lady's high heels and a similar hole in the seat (was she cleaning the roof or something?)
The passenger and back seats are as new.
Underneath, my garage tells me she is sound and has had its sills all properly sealed and no rust.
Overall the paint and chrome are in good condition, but there are a couple of cosmetic parts that need doing (I had the quotes and it was in the region of £500 to fix up and she would look like new.
Log book and service book present but there is some information missing as when the old lady died, the paper-work had to be gathered by the estate and some history is missing.
Engine wise she starts first time. Is the old bullet-proof M10 chain driven engine - so no cam to change.
Steering is sharp, brakes are good and the gearbox is smooth. Was MOT'd on the 25th March 2010 - so good to go for a year! Tax ends in June 2010.
Original tape player has been kept but I have replaced with a retro Alpine with CD Changer.
The dash has a minor issue in that the temp gauge stopped working recently and the computer keeps resetting itself so you sometimes get the inspection light (common error in all BMW's)
I have bought original BMW Bottle top alloys which will come with the car.
Other than that, I would highly recommend having a look, as Evie is a beautiful untampered with classic E30. Not messed around with by boy racers and so despite some paperwork-loss, this car was clearly cared for.
I am trying to keep her in the family as its a rare thing to find a 1985 E30 in this condition but if someone offers what she worth, then I would be happy to let her go.
