Description
Very nice example, ready to go.
This is the pre-facelift version of the original supercharged BMW Mini, not the later (fatter) turbocharged versions. It’s quite raw, but very useable, and full of character. “The connoisseur’s choice” – to quote a colleague!
Lovely spec, quite a rare colour, and completely standard. It recently returned from a drive all round England, which included a £750 visit to a Mini specialist for servicing.
Partial service history (everything during my ownership, and a bit before that.)
Please note location: Isle of Harris. I bought the car a year ago in Lincolnshire, so it's been down in England for most of its life.

LESS GOOD POINTS
- Driver’s window goes to sleep sometimes. It goes up fine, but if it’s been a while since you drove it, there’s a trick to making it go down.
- I think the radiator has a very small leak near the top. It’s invisible, but became apparent when a specialist pressure-tested the system recently. On the 500-mile journey up from England it lost about a cup of coolant. Not urgent, but something to prepare for.
- Glove box latch needs a tweak as the lid opens when you go over a bump.
Really going to miss this car!
