Phase one Saab 9-5 Aero saloon automatic. MOT until 05/ 01/ 23. Current mileage is 113, 708, however a brand new ‘silver top’ crated engine was installed in 2013 along with a new TD-04 turbocharger and these have only covered approximately 60, 000 miles.
Work recently carried out include a full service, 5w/ 30 fully synthetic oil, genuine GM oil filter, Mann air filter and NGK PFR6H-10 spark plugs. A complete new PCV kit installed and all vacuum hoses renewed with silicone hosing. A new Nissens radiator, front brake discs and pads. Top engine mounting has also been changed. Subframe and front antiroll bar bushes have been renewed with poly bushes.
The car drives superbly. The engine is sublime, the turbo boosts effortlessly and the auto box is silky smooth.
The interior is a lovely place to be, being clean, fresh and remarkably comfortable. The leather seats are in great condition, with minimal wear. Heated seats front and rear. There is a small area of damage to the leather of the passenger seat backrest, however some leather dye should sort this. All electrical components function as they should.
The exterior paintwork is generally in very good order and is, as far as I can tell all original. There are of course stone-chips and minor blemishes. There is no significant corrosion on any panels, nor underneath. A very good second hand exhaust has just been fitted. Front tyres have approx 6mm of tread, rears 3mm.
There are a few niggles to sort. It has the wrong bonnet and boot badges on it, should be Saab/ Scania, the gear-lever blind needs replacing, the Saab Information Display has lost some of its pixels, some of the radio buttons are worn and there is a only one key/ fob.
Comes with its original owners pack, owners manual, service schedule and an A4 folder full of receipts, old MOT certificates and it’s certificate of conformity.
