Due to an ever expanding fleet of ridiculousness, I'm letting my Plymouth 383 ‘Cuda go.
The car is immaculate, has just been fully serviced (including new HT leads, plugs, fluids, filters, uprated coil and a gearbox overhaul which included new flex plate, bearings, seals, fluids etc) and has all the incredibly noisy, brilliant and stupid bits you’d want on a ‘Cuda, such as the shaker hood, pistol grip shifter on an auto 727 box, bespoke exhaust (which sounds like God w* nking and will likely make you prolapse), the worlds most pointless spoiler, electronic ignition and Mopar valve covers etc etc.
Plus, it has louvres. I mean, who doesn’t love a louvre? Really the best way to look at this is that you’re buying the louvres, and the rest of the car is free with some louvres.
The car owes me about 50k, which given that there’s none of these about and this one is hewn from purest awesome seems about right in the current market (though I’d welcome your opinion if you think I’m way off and feel like being helpful, but not if you’re trying to steal my car from me).
More in depth detail is below, but- if I were you- I’d just skip straight to the pictures. The pictures are all you’ll ever need.
Please note that the excellent CUD4H plate is included in the sale, and I have all 4 hubcaps which are included in the sale (I just think the car looks cooler without them).
* 1974 Plymouth Barracuda. Was a 318 car originally, now a 383. The 383 engine was fully rebuilt about 4 years ago, and has driven about 300 miles since rebuild.
* Automatic transmission 727 with shift kit (just fully overhauled including new flex plate, bearings and seals).
* The car is super solid including rocker panels, frame rails and floors, and is fitted with a shaker hood, painted quarter billboards, real fender gills and rocker gills.
* The interior is in excellent condition, with new padding in both front seats. A wood pistol grip instead of T-bar is fitted too which looks just right in what is effectively a baddies car.
* The trunk wing and louvres are plastic and removable with no holes drilled. The car is also fitted with a Mopar Gel Battery (new this year).
* New front end parts include pitman arm, rebuilt steering box and a rear sway bar has been added too for extra stability and control.
* The car also has new shocks in the front and adjustable air shocks in the rear
* A brand new Rev-n-nator ECU, coil, leads, plugs, filters etc we’re all fitted less than 50 miles ago.
* The car is also fitted with a bespoke Stainless Steel exhaust, and a 489 posi rear end, with Schumacher ceramic coated Tri-y headers with Mopar Performance Valve Covers.
* New hood pins are also fitted along with a brand new fuel tank with new fuel sending unit and Electric Fuel pump.
* I believe the car was originally a B5 blue car, which is now painted arctic white and is accented by the black shaker and the billboards. The paint is genuinely brilliant. You’d struggle to find fault in it, even if you really felt spiteful.
* Extra interior gauge pack, rev counter and nice sounding CD player (not that you’ll want to listen to anything over the sound of that engine).
* The car is fitted with BF Goodrich low miles on the tires on Mopar Magnum rims.
* 'Cuda floor mats.
* The previous owner owned the car for 13 years and old sold due to ill health.
I’m looking for around 50k. I’m only selling as I’ve just bought a new Mustang and traded in an old wife, so please don’t offer me part-ex’s as I’ve already enough ex’s to last me forever.
If you’d like to know more, or would like more pics or video just drop me a line or a text/ call on the details below.
Thanks for reading all this. Buy my 'Cuda now, please, before I change my mind.
