Description
1993 Kia Pride 1. 3LX. Full MOT. Would make great FoTU car (won't win you any prizes, but should get plenty of attention).
Engine/ gearbox/ clutch very good and it drives well. Still on carburettor; when cold and on autochoke it revs a bit high, but behaves well as soon as it starts to warm up.
Bodywork is very presentable but does have a few small scrapes, dents and marks and nearside rear arch is a little a bit scabby.
Gearlever is sloppy, presumably whatever springs it had to self-centre have broken or vanished. Still easy to select gears and you don’t really notice it when driving.
Interior is in excellent condition and all electrics work including the original, Kia badged, radio cassette player.
Tyres are quite old and one is slightly perished (MOT advisory). Unused whitewall on spare.
Has had small amount of welding to rear of sills plus a tiny bit to the front floor for the new MOT, which also required a new complete handbrake cable.
Offside rear wheel bearing is slightly noisy. I’ve ordered a new one which will be included.
