Beschreibung
One of only 2500 Homologation Specials built by Mitsubishi to compete in the most arduous Rally in the world, the Paris-Dakar.
Highly successful, it won on more than one occasion, beating the competition not only in its Class but overall by 5 hours and on one occasion coming 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
Highly sought after, this car is chassis number 425 and is currently owned by a collector who purchased from another collection in 2017.
It is only being sold due to storage constraints.
The car has recently had a major service, including cam belts, tensioner and water pump. Invoice available.
Mileage is incredibly low at 47, 000 only.
Superb condition. Recent Yokohama Geolander tyres virtually unused, and recent AGM battery. New MOT when serviced; no advisories.
Hugely robust "Tonka Toy". Last of the great Evolutions.
3. 5L petrol VV Timing (MIVEC) engine supposedly limited to 280bhp although the consensus was that this was somewhat "flexible".
Auto with manual over-ride.
All rally cars were. Fully manuals were not robust enough.
Engine has been compared to an M3.
Original owners manual, Japanese radio and Emergency Flare and Japanese service records.
A cosseted, low mileage example of this rare, superb condition, sought after appreciating classic.
Letter just received from Mitsubishi confirming build date of September 1997, not 1998 as shown, making the car just 25 years old and eligible for US import.
Re-advertised due to time waster.
Serious offers considered.
Others in similar condition and with higher mileage recently seen in order of £40k.
