William I'Anson Ltd offer for sale one of the most complete examples of the iconic Chevron B8.
Bought new by Ian ‘Mo’ Skailes in British Racing Green, and campaigned by him extensively in England and around Europe in 1969.
Sold to Helmut Hölch in Germany in 1970 where it was raced in Interserie before returning to England in 1979.
Raced on the West Coast of the USA during a long-term American ownership, before being bought by former Executive Vice President of Chrysler and raced further.
CH-DBE-79 returned to England once more upon entering the current ownership in 2008. Fully restored by Gelscoe Motorsport and professionally maintained since, having competed in HSCC Guards Trophy, Peter Auto’s CER 1 and Masters World Sports Cars.
Accompanied by an excellent history file containing all original 1969 documentation and the original 1970 German Wagenpass. Also accompanied by the full original set of bodywork, removed in mid 1969 after an accident and retained by Skailes. The spares included contain a second spare set of bodywork, spare used engine and spare set of wheels.
Currently configured to race with either Peter Auto or Masters in being fitted with Avon cut slicks, CH-DBE-79 awaits its next custodian and continuing its racing ways.
