Beskrivning
Here we have a 1958 Sunbeam Rapier. This is a solid running, driving project. Everything works; all the gauges, switches, lights apart from the overdrive which has been disconnected (?) All the tyres are matching and look new. The engine runs sweet and is very strong. The twin carbs were recently refurbished. The handbrake is good and the car stops in a straight line. It drives very well and easily keeps up with modern traffic. The number plate is transferable and has been valued at £1800. This car was an historic rally car and was featured in a classic car magazine. I have the article along with pictures of the restoration work carried out at the time. The body work and interior let it down. It could do with repainting, carpets and various bits on the inside ie the door cards and rear parcel shelf are tatty; although the seats and the head lining are ok. As with all classics it could do with fettling here and there. I am new to classic motoring having only purchased this car about six weeks ago and don’t have the skills to renovate and maintain/ look after a car like this.
