1928 BSA S28 Sloper 500cc -superb sporting vintage bike
A lovely early example of BSA’s 500cc Sloper, which with its early adoption of the Saddle Tank, was recognised as one of the smoothest and quietest of the sporting 500cc machines and was very popular and remain so today, with a strong following.
This bike, an older restoration, which has had minimal use and remains in first class order both mechanically and cosmetically and has just had the oils changed along with the magneto being fully re-furbished. As a result she is a lovely easy starting bike, going first or second kick and quickly settles down to a nice tick-over.
On the road she is a delight to ride, with a nice positive gear-change, from her three speed, hand-change ‘box and she pulls like a proverbial train, with a good turn of speed from her overhead valve engine, which means she keeps up well with modern traffic on A and B roads.
A video of her running can be shared -just message me and I will send you the link and I can send high-res images of the bike to you via We Transfer if required -again please just message me.
Viewing most welcome near Henley-on-Thames: RG9 5NB and I can help with courier/ or delivery if required -just ask.
