Description
Here for sale is my 1951 Motobecane D45S.
I bought this bike from a French motorcycle importer and registered it myself, it's now under historic status meaning it is tax and MOT exempt. It had been through a cosmetic restoration before I bought it and I had a complete mechanical restoration done after purchase which included a near complete engine rebuild, with all bearings, seals, forks, etc disassembled, cleaned, and rebuilt - a process which has been documented in an album containing nearly 100 photos!
I am asking £2250 (but am open to offers) as it is a fully operational and roadworthy machine which starts easily and ticks over nicely. It's guaranteed to turn heads and spark interest wherever it goes, not to mention it has one hell of a sound which has to be heard to be believed for anyone that hasn't heard one of these running before.
The bike is only 125cc and therefore useable on a CBT and would make an interesting first classic.
I do have the front number plate and am happy to attach it either with or without numbers if requested.
Included with the bike will be:
-Touch up paint
- A USB stick containing it's photographed rebuild and digital copies of the manual and parts directory
-All registration documentation (excluding personal documents such as license photocopies)
-Spare sparkplug and custom plug spanner
-Spare unopened can of engine oil
-A wicker basket to go on the rack containing a few spares, tools, props for motorshows, etc.
Any questions, don't hesitate to contact me.
Many thanks, Nick
