For sale is my 1973 SS350 project bike, which I am selling as I have too many projects in the workshop. I imported this bike from Ron Lancaster (who is something of a Guru in America with respect to HD Sprints) in 2017 and she has lain in my workshop, untouched and unloved, ever since.
She is complete (except for a battery), has matching numbers, and is fitted with Ron Lancaster's starter motor conversion. Starters were a known weak point on these bikes and parts are now pretty much unobtainable, but the kit utilises a Honda Goldwing starter for easy parts availability and greater reliability.
The bike is currently unregistered, but I have the NOVA number and a dating certificate so that the bike can be easily registered with the DVLA. I also have (in electronic format) technical information regarding these bikes (parts list, workshop manual, wiring diagrams etc.) that I have collected over the years, but which are difficult and/ or expensive to acquire.
I believe this bike will only require a simple cosmetic restoration, as Ron Lancaster told me that the bike was a runner before exporting it to me. I have period correct tank decals, which will come with the bike. All in all, a nice project for someone who wants a late Aermacchi Harley Davidson Sprint.
